When we founded Honda in 1946, we immediately began working on prototypes and auxiliary engines for bicycles. The reason was very simple. We wanted to make cycling easier and more fun. In 1947, the Honda A-Type was produced and went on sale immediately.

We've come a long way since those days and have developed an amazingly wide range of different technologies and products. But each of them serves our main purpose: to help people everywhere experience the joy of personal mobility and the freedom it brings.
